Make Dwell Times Work for You
Dwell times are among the most important statements on all disinfectant labels. The amount of time you should wait after application,, And some labels may not refer to "dwell time" – they might read "must remain wet for" or "contact time."

But however the label puts it, dwell times must be observed to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Certain work practices can help make dwell time more manageable. When cleaning something like a restroom, you can apply the disinfectant to surfaces first, then go about other cleaning tasks such as glass and mirror cleaning and supply replenishment, then wipe down the surface treated with disinfectant. If the product is a disinfectant/detergent combination, the dwell time can be an ally because the contact time helps to loosen soils.
